In order to celebrate my fortieth birthday, I combined my sport and historic interests with my passion for photography in a little holiday. This trip took me to France, from charming Limoges via Oradour-sur-Glane to Pau and Lourdes. During World War II, the inhabitants from Oradour-sur-Glane were murdered and all houses burned down by German troops in an action of revenge. A walk through this ghost city is quite impressive and its museum worth a visit. In Pau, I enjoyed four days long the Tour de France, meeting the Garmin Cervelo team at the breakfast table in the hotel we shared.
